I am Valentin Lugand Lopez, an experienced Full Stack Developer open to new exciting opportunities.
• About me
Learn about my work as a developer and the personal interests that keep me inspired outside the office.
I’m an experienced web and mobile developer with a natural affinity for UI and Frontend technologies, while maintaining strong capabilities in both Frontend and Backend development. I have a solid track record of building web applications from the ground up, taking projects through design, development, and deployment. I am passionate about creating efficient and visually appealing applications that prioritize a great user experience. I stand out for my problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly, and I also excel in tackling complex technical challenges. My diverse background, including a career shift after earning a Master’s in International Business, enhances my ability to understand product needs and collaborate effectively across teams. I’m always looking for new challenges to further develop my skills and am eager to learn new technologies.
Outside of work, I’m a creative person who enjoys music, often spending time playing guitar and piano. Fitness is also a big part of my life, and I train consistently at the gym four to five times a week year-round. In my downtime, I like to unwind by hanging out with friends, playing video games, or catching up on series.
• Experience
Combining my background in sales and full stack development, I leverage technical skills and client-focused insights to deliver well-rounded solutions and collaborate effectively across teams.
My mission at Motto is to maintain and develop new features for the website, mobile application, operations management platform and API as part of a small agile technical team with shared responsibilities.
I work with React Native, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS for the mobile app. For the website, I use NextJS, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Headless CMS Sanity. The API is built using Ruby on Rails.
I designed and developed a portfolio for an interior architect and TV set designer based on given assets. This was my first freelance project and I worked on it during my free time, in addition to my job at Motto. I used Figma to first create the website’s design then developed it using NextJS, React, Typescript, Tailwind CSS.
Prior to my career transition, I had 3 professional experiences in sales lasting 6 months each. These positions were focused on sales and business development.
• Education
With hands-on coding expertise from the 42 Paris, complemented by an entrepreneurship course at HEC and a Master’s in International Business, my education blends strategic thinking with technical expertise.
42 is a prestigious school renowned for its selectivity and atypical educational model. Pedagogy is based on peer-to-peer learning, learning by doing and autonomous working, as well as the ability to find information to complete projects within the allotted time.
C Projects
↳ Minimalistic shell implementation (Bash reverse engineering)
↳ 3D game based on Wolfenstein (parsing, error handling and raycasting)
C++ Projects
↳ HTTP server implementation (I/O multiplexing, request parsing, response generation in accordance with RFC, and CGI)
↳ Recode our own C++ container templates (vector, map and stack)
Web Projects
↳ 2 DevOps / System Administration projects using Docker and Kubernetes
↳ Creation of a platform for playing Pong online with an integrated social network and chat interface (Typescript, NextJS, NestJS)
Awarded in collaboration with 42, this intensive 3-month certification program brought together students from the prestigious business school HEC, e-artsup, and 42 to collaborate on a startup project competition. The program focused on applying design thinking methodologies to drive innovation. Our team earned first place in the competition.
Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Foreign Languages Applied to International Business, both completed with honors. I spent my third Bachelor's year on an Erasmus exchange in Granada, and my first Master’s year in Manchester which enriched my cultural and academic experience.
